Frank & Joe Hardy are the teenage sons of famous private detective Fenton Hardy & his wife Laura. Together, (& sometimes from help with family & friends) they investigate all sorts of crimes & strange occurences.... The Secret Of Wildcat Swamp was published in the US in 1952 & was the thirty first in the series. It was revised in 1969. The book first appeared in the UK in 1977 & was numbered 38 when it was published by Armada. The book opens with Frank, Joe & Chet digging on the Morton farm. There's a reference made to school closing for the summer so presumably this book is meant to be set during the summer ...  Read the complete review

As with most of the Hardy Boys books, The Secret of Wildcat Swamp, the 31st in the long running series of teen adventure books, features our heroes, Frank and Joe Hardy, accidentally coming across a conspiracy of sorts whilst out in the middle of nowhere trying to have a nice time. This is a regular occurrence with the brothers, and thus comes as no surprise. Out randomnly on a biology trip with their friend Chet Bailey and their biology teacher Cap Bailey, they are treated with hostility by a bunch of swarthy and hostile men every time they go anywhere near Wildcat Swamp.
