The name Franklin W Dixon will be a very familiar one with households of teenage boys, or at least, those who were teens up until about ten years ago. For, up until then, the Hardy Boys mysteries were considered amongst the best adventure tales aimed at teenage boys around. There have been many Hardy Boys adventures published, and when I was a teenage boy, I was obsessed with them, reading them one after the other, sometimes reading a couple in a week!
