Frank and Joe Hardy are the teenage sons of famous private detective Fenton Hardy and his wife Laura. The 83rd Hardy Boys book sees a return to the usual death defying danger that the teenage All-American sleuths find themselves falling into book after book. The books are published under the name Franklin W Dixon, which is a pen name for a number of ghost writers who have written the books since the first one was published in the late 1920s.
