I sometimes wonder where inspiration for many of today's cartoons come from. One particular cartoon is Scooby Doo, with its wacky team and strange concept of how criminals nearly get away with things, only to be thwarted by the team. And a similar thing may be said of the Hardy Boys mysteries to a certain extent, although they may indeed be part of the inspiration behind a lot of more modern sleuthing tales.
