The Hardy Boys books are written with teenage boys in mind, and when I was part of the intended audience I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. This is one of the more believable of the latter half of Hardy Boys books, as it focuses on brothers Frank and Joe Hardy falling into an adventure as opposed to being asked to solve a mystery. While they are at a summer camp related to films, they help a friend of theirs whose father has lost a priceless helmet that was borrowed for a movie. The adventure takes the Hardys into adventure, and someone is trying to stop them digging. The Shattered Helmet is the 52nd in the series of popular Hardy Boys books written predominantly for teenage boys.
