Frank & Joe Hardy are the teenage sons of famous private detective Fenton Hardy & his wife Laura. Together, (& sometimes from help with family & friends) they investigate all sorts of crimes & strange occurences.... While The Clock Ticked was published in the US in 1932 & was the eleventh in the series. It was revised in 1962.The book first appeared in the UK in 1972 & was numbered 10 when it was published by Armada. The 11th Hardy Boys book features Frank and Joe as they essentially take on one of their father's potential cases. Ray Dalrymple visits their house, looking for their father following a number of death threats. Ray wants someone to help find who is sending the death threats. As Frank and Joe agree to take on the seemingly simple case, they end up deep in trouble with the mystery stretching to expensive jewellery smuggling and even Frank and Joe themselves being put in grave danger.
