The Stolen Voice is the fifth book written by Pat McIntosh about a lawyer called Gil Cunnigham set in Glasgow towards the end of the fifteenth century. Gil is a young man with a young beautiful French wife and a telent for solving murders in and around Glasgow. As with all the previous novels we get a tiny section describing how Gil felt about the murder in hindsight but its soon forgotten as the book goes on, with each murder and each book we are given more details about Gil and how he s progressing. Gil is a young man as I said, he started out as a priest but met the daughter of the French master mason whose building Glasgow cathedral. Gil throws in the priesthood ...

St Mungos Robin is the third book in the Gil Cunningham series of medieval murder mysteries written by Pat McIntosh. The setting The books are set in Glasgow in and around 1493, Gil is a young man who intended on becoming a priest before meeting a beautiful daughter of a mason who he d helped solve a case of murder. Thats the first book in the series, in this novel his soon to be wife Alys is fretting over the wedding, he s still setting himself up as a man of law rather than the priesthood and inevitably there is a murder to investigate.
