Anyway, Mummy Pig eventually gets her way and she, Granny, Pip and Posy set about cleaning and tidying the whole house whil Daddy goes out shopping. Baby is too young to tidy up yet! Well, they do a fantastic job and soon the house is spick and span. Mummy thinks it looks great but the others say that it feels a bit cold and empty!

As you might guess from the title 'The Higgledy Piggledy Pigs' are a family of not so ever so tidy pigs! In fact that is a bit of an understatement as their house is an absolute mess - a bit like mine on a bad day! Well this is the story of what happened one day when Mummy Pig decided enough was enough and the house had to be tidied up good and proper! (I have days like this too - now I know why I like this book so much!) Anyway, back to the story. At the beginning we meet the entire family - Daddy, Mummy, Granny, Pip, Posy and Baby.
