      Bring on the sequel.......

Hollowland is the first in a new series aimed at young teenagers and set in a world that has all gone to hell! Zombies have taken over the planet and now the majority of the population live in quarantine camps designed to keep the infected away from the general populace.

Remy and her younger brother are at one of these camps when security is breached! A group of strangely organised zombies attack and soon the survivors are forced to flee.....Remy becoming seperated from her brother because he is sick and evacuated first. Left on her own with just a fellow dorm-mate, Harlow, for company, Remy sets out to find where he has been taken ~ but it is a perilous journey full of bizarre cult leaders, wandering marauders and the lead singer from a former pop band!

Heavily influenced by films like 28 Days and Weeks Later and with more than just a touch of Justin Cronin's The Passage, Hollowland is an action-packed read from start to finish. It begins at a fast pace and the action never relents for long! Though big fans of the zombie genre will no doubt guess the main plot twist and just what the hell is going on with Remy's brother, this, at no time, detracts from just how much fun the rest of this story is to read!

There is nothing wrong with being unoriginal so long as you do it well and Amanda Hocking certainly does a sterling job here! Though it is far from perfect, still this is a highly engrossing novel with plenty to recommend it!

Will I be downloading the second part when it comes out for Kindle? No doubt because this was definitely good enough to make me want to keep reading. Currently free to download, it is another Kindle title that is certainly worth checking out!!
