This book is completely gorgeous - cakey porn for the sweet toothed.
I was bought this book for my birthday in April after reading a taster recipe in Delicious magazine - unfortunately it hadn't come out then and I had to wait several weeks. I was really pleased when I saw it so heavily promoted when it was published as it's a great book.
I love baking, but as I have a small kitchen I love reading baking books more than actually cooking, but this book has driven me back into the kitchen. So far I've made lemon cupcakes - delicious but a bit of a faff getting all the lemon zest; the regular cupcakes with pink icing and sprinkles, very girly, and the fridge cake, which was amazing. (Actually my husband made that under my direction, but he made it so well so it must be easy to follow!)
With the brownies etc I love the fact that the tins used are all the same size. Finding one the right size was a bit harder, but I found one very close in size at a specialist shop in Bristol so will no doubt be making more brownies soon!
I bought this also as a gift for a friend and was convinced she'd have it already, but luckily she hadn't so I will be trying to covert more friends in the near future!
Final positive - the recipes don't have 101 ingredients involved, so deceptively simple to make - a really nice change from other baking recipes which often seem to be tagged on to general cookbooks.
Please buy this book and enjoy - it's fabulous.
