'The Hundred Mile an Hour Dog' (Jeremy Strong) is the simple yet lively tale of eleven year old Trevor, his best friend Tina and their attempts to train his unruly and very fast dog, Streaker. The book begins with a brief introduction to Streaker and explains how nobody in Trevor's family enjoys walking him. This is how Trevor ends up being challenged by his mum to walk Streaker everyday of the Easter holidays. In return, she will pay him thirty pounds. The Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog is a fantastic book written by Jeremy Strong for children between the ages of 7 and 12. The illustrator for the book is Nick Sharratt. "WHOOSH! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's the hundred-mile-an-hour dog!" Streaker is a mixed-up kind of dog and according to her owner Trevor she's got not only a bit of greyhound blood in her but also a large chunk of Ferrari and a dollop of whirlwind for good measure.
