My partner loves to watch shows on TV that follow families as they seek to relocate abroad. During the day you are inundated with people buying a dream house in America, Australia, or increasingly Eastern Europe. I’ve noticed another trend that has come from these shows and that is programmes that follow families as they desperately hunt for a home back in the UK as the grass was not actually greener – turns out that they no longer have a foot on the UK property ladder and may find it harder than they think.
