Advantages: Great story

I was in Dublin and needed a book to read to help pass the time that my OH would watch the football and rugby and just whenever there was nothing to do.

I was having a look through his mums books when I came across this, I read the back of it and it instantly caught my attention, it sounded like a good read.

Eve knows what she wants.
After nine good years and two kids together, it's about time Liam made an honest woman of her.

Eve's sister Sam knows more than she should, Sam always thought Eve was too good for Liam. Then she learns the truth about his business trips to Australia and her suspicions are confirmed.

Brooke, safe on the other side of the world; knows nothing. Until a mysterious delivery arrives on her desk and promises to change her life forever. It seems someone doesn't want Brooke to be the last to know.

I had never heard of Melissa Hill before, but after looking online I can see that shes quite a big author over in Ireland, I think she could be number 1 even.

The front of the book is a bright pink with a picture of a woman sitting on a lot of books writing in a book and having a good old think.
Over the top of her is the title of the book and the authors name, for the sort of book it is I think it has quite a girly front cover and it doesn't really go with what the story is actually about, but never mind.

The main characters in the book are Eve, her sister Sam, Anne who is Eves best friend and Brooke..a complete stranger on the other side of the world.

Eve is a mother too 2 gorgeous children, a young boy and a 7 year old girl and has been with her ungrateful ( although she cant really see it ) partner Liam for 9 years.

Eves best friend is Anne, who has been with her partner for around the same length of time, they are both engaged but for some reason Anne seems to be putting off getting married to her lovely partner Ronan.

Sam is Eves sister who lives in London, she moved away from Dublin when her parents passed away and is quite well known for being a successful author.

One day Sam and Eve are on the phone to each other and end up getting into an argument, this results in Sam and Eve switching places and trying out their lives in each others shoes, Sam thinks it would be good for her as she somehow can not commit fully to her boyfriend and she wants to see if the lifestyle which Eve leads ( having kids, stay at home mum.. ) is really for her. Whereas Eve just really wants a little break from it all.

After this the story changes completely, there are so many twist and turns and surprises in the book that you wont be able to keep it down, I managed to read this in a day which is a record for me as it pulled you in so much.

My favourite Character was Sam, shes very headstrong and independent and was the most likeable character for me, I also loved Ronan, Annes fiance.

The rest of the characters came across very well to me and it made the book special, you get to know each and every person which is strange as theres so many, and you see things from lots of points of view which is great.

Now onto Brooke, a book arrives on her desk one day in Australia with a message attached saying something like "Thought this might be of some interest to you" realising how hard it is to get someone to be able to put and recommend a book like that, right on your desk is hard she decides it must be worth reading, but she would never expect what was to come, and neither could you.

It was a great book and I will be looking out for Melissa's books now as it seemed so well wrote.S

Summary: Loved it
