The Lion And The Unicorn (by Ali, aged 8) is a great book! It includes scary things like the man with one leg and how Lenny's neighbours house gets bombed. It's the only book I like that's to do with the war. I like the way the author describes the characters and their feelings. It is a bit sad too, when the school boys tease Lenny that he wets his bed (which is true) but the saddest bit is when Lenny leaves his mum. Lenny has a special badge that has a lion and a unicorn on it that his dad gave him before he went to war.
