The Lost Sheep This is one of a set of books which I like to read to the children in my class. BOOK AND ILLUSTRATIONS... The book tells the familiar story of The Lost Sheep and because it is in large book format, the children can be shown each page as it is read to them. It starts with the people questioning why Jesus welcomed all kinds of people, and on the next double page spread, showing a large picture of a shepherd and his many sheep, jesus starts his story. He explains that the shepherd has 100 sheep but when he counts them all one is missing so he begins his search.
