Advantages: Exciting and Informative

Disadvantages: It has an ending

This book is one of my all time favourites. The storyline features the usual mysterious sole antagonist as his other books, however there is one huge twist right at the end which very few people would see coming. The Lost Symbol, as usual, sees Langdon being involved in many violent scenes completely un-suited for a man of his age and profession, yet of course he always pulls through (or does he?). The storyline overall is very exciting and interesting from start to finish, and Dan Brown tries to shed some light on the mysterious order of the Freemasons.

However one of the most interesting elements in the book is how it is largely based around the study of Noetic Science and how it could one day dramatically change people's view of the world. Dan Brown mentions the book "The Intention Experiment" by Lynne McTaggart as one of the main protagonist's primary inspiration.

Summary: Amazing read
