book which is a collection of short stories written by some of the most popular authors around at the moment. As it was edited by Fiona Walker amonst others I was expecting it to be quite something as I have read all of her own books previously and loved everyone. What a disappointment lay between the covers - I started the first story with vigor only to reach a very unsatifactory and uncompleted ending! I tried another - same story - I don't know if this is to do with it being a collection of short stories rather than one novel but the whole way through I never got the feeling the normally comes of reaching the end of a good story that "ah so ...

Having read all of Fiona Walkers previous novels, I was very excited to see Between Males on the bookshelf at W H Smith. Her novels are pure escapism, Mills and Boon for the new millenium. If you love Jane Green or Louise Bagshawe's style of writing then you will love this novel. The story starts with the main character, Odette leaving her high powered PR job to start up her own restuarant with the 'help' of investor Calum,who she falls in love with. Things don't go according to plan and Calum bankrupts Odette leaving her with nothing.
