Maybe I'm used to fictional detectives with a bit more meat to them, but I always go away feeling slightly disappointed.
Were the story a cracking read, this would make up for the weak characterisation. However, in this case, it isn't. The plot starts out really well - I loved the idea of the dead man, whose wife was a harridan, having a secret life and as it began to unforld, I found myself getting more and more intrigued.
