This is a roller coaster of a book, the plot is well laid out and the story mainly focuses on Paul however it also looks at the past of his boss Mac as the current events are wrapped up in his own past life as a spy working in Europe. In fact, she has been so good at training me that I would consider her somewhat of a mentor. However, this does not mean that a boss is automatically a mentor - in fact they may be a jerk! You may have one of those bosses that gives you all the work or seems completely incapable; learning from them is the last thing on your mind. You have to earn the title mentor so how come Steve Jackson uses the term so flippantly in 'The Mentor'? The book is not about a mentor, but a bloke and a boss he dislikes. ...  Read the complete review
