If you have a problem taking prescription sleep aids, "The Mercedes Coffin" is a must purchase. This one will put you to sleep like a shot of sodium pentathol. I trudged through 275 pages of this novel waiting for something remotely interesting to happen, then closed it and took it back to the library post haste. I don't mind paying a late return fine for something worthy, but I would hate myself to have proferred up a dime on this bomb. There are so many uninteresting characters in this work, the dialogue is mundane, and after making the decision not to finish it, I did not even care to turn to the end to really find out just who did ...
