If you have a problem taking prescription sleep aids, "The Mercedes Coffin" is a must purchase. This one will put you to sleep like a shot of sodium pentathol.
I trudged through 275 pages of this novel waiting for something remotely interesting to happen, then closed it and took it back to the library post haste. I don't mind paying a late return fine for something worthy, but I would hate myself to have proferred up a dime on this bomb.
There are so many uninteresting characters in this work, the dialogue is mundane, and after making the decision not to finish it, I did not even care to turn to the end to really find out just who did the murder. That's just plain sad. Reading the instruction booklet to my Blackberry would be infinitely more interesting than Kellerman's effort here.
How on earth did this one get through the agent and to the press?
