Most famous for her Famous Five, The Secret Seven and Noddy Books she was born on the 11th August 1897 and was one of the most successful childrens story tellers of that time. One of her most well known characters is that of Noddy who was invented for reading beginners. In a few of her books people disapproved of them which has led to alterations and reprints, on some occassions they have actually been banned from libraries.
