The books hold a special place in my heart and I must have read them all a dozen or so times each. The Famous Five are Julian, Dick and Anne Kirrin, their cousin George (Georgina) Kirrin and her dog Timmy. This is the fifth adventure, and the children are allowed by George s parents to go caravanning for the school holidays.
