A Grey Day in Toy Town - Enid Blyton

Premium Review Not a grey book for Harry! (631 words)
by mummy2harry - written on 23/10/08 (Very useful, 198 readings)
Rating:

Harry seems to change his mind about his favourite characters every day of the week at the moment, which can be quite exhausting for me and his daddy! I've taken to many trips to the library to keep up with Harry's wants and needs, so when I saw this Noddy book in the childrens book boxes, I knew we'd have a need for this later in the week when Noddy would be back in fashion with Harry again! I was a bit surprised at how much the character of Noddy and his chums in Toy Town have changed since I watched the puppet version when I was young. Noddy is now fully computer animated and so too are his chums, albeit a tad scary looking in my opinion. The new shoes have been released by ...

The Famous Five: Five Go to Mystery Moor - Enid Blyton

Premium Review Five get lost in the mist (322 words)
by pmcds - written on 07/07/08 (Very useful, 34 readings)
Rating:

Five Go To Mystery Moor is the 13th in a series of 21 books from Enid Blyton featuring the Famous Five. The books are considered some of the best children s books of all time. I am inclined to agree as they were my favourites as a child and I still read them from time to time as an adult. The Famous Five are Julian, Dick and Anne Kirrin, their cousin George (Georgina) Kirrin and her dog Timmy. Five Go To Mystery Moor see the Five take a more traditional holiday as they all go to stay at a riding school in the moors with a bunch of other school children during the school holidays. The Five encounter a group of gypsies who are keen enough on crossing the moors immediately ...
