Advantages: very well written
Disadvantages: a sad story
I've been a fan of Cathy Glass for a while now,she has a great writing style you really feel like you get to know her and the people in her stories. Cathy Glass is a foster carer and she writes stories of experiences she's had and the children she's cared for. Most of the children she's looked after are from very troubled backgrounds and a wide range of problems, however this story was different as it was about a love between father and son and the bond they shared.
The story involves a little boy who's to be cared for by Cathy as his father is really poorly with cancer and is supposed to be terminal. he doesn't want his son seeing him get too ill so puts him into care with the intentions of Cathy looking after him when he's gone too.
From the moment i picked up this book I could have cried as I really felt for this family and what they went through. This book is definitely worth a read i picked it up at my local charity shop for £1 however you can pick it up for between £2-6 which i still think is a good offer. I'd recommend this book to to any cathy glass fans its a really good story and a really good read.
Summary: read it
