The Nursing Home Murder - Ngaio Marsh ... most popular pieces of crime fiction of all time. Sir John Phillips, the Harley Street surgeon, and his beautiful nurse Jane Harden are almost too nervous to operate. The emergency case on the table before them is the Home Secretary -- and they both have very good, personal reasons to wish him dead. Within hours he does die, although the operation itself was a complete success, and Chief Detective Inspector Alleyn must find out why...

An excellent story, with addictive characters and a nice fast pace The end seems to be rushed compared to the build up to the story

An entertaining read Complicated plot

gripping, genuinely scary genuinely scary!

Great characterisation and writing His style might not be to everyone's taste

Didn't cost much, The cover looks pretty good. Plot progresses poorly, Three narrators makes for messy reading.

Historically accurate mystery thriller. None for me, but there may be too much historic detail for some.
