The Nutty Nut Chase is a lovely hard back book which I picked up for my 6 year old as he is very into his reading at the moment. The cover of the book has a picture of some animals trying to catch a nut before it goes down a hole. The title is above the picture in dark blue lettering. The very top of the front cover has a sparkly red banner which tells us that the book is part of the Ready Steady Read collection. The back cover is blue and has a short paragraph about the book. The book starts with Hickory the squirrel making ride faces at his friend Pecan. Whilst he is doing so a shiny brown nut suddenly bursts up from the ground.
