I’ve never been a person who gets involved in political issues, preferring to “wait and see” how politicians work out. One thing that has always interested me however is a certain political issue that I’m either in support of or totally against, so how I have missed novels by Andre Brink is a mystery to me. As a teenager in the 1960’s and a woman in the 1970’s who supported the anti-apartheid movement I never heard any mention of Brink in any capacity, so discovering his latest book has opened up a whole new world to me.
