Amazing Animals: A Lift-the-flap Book - Dr. Seuss

Premium Review A great introduction to Dr Seuss (397 words)
by wisemind - written on 29/08/09 (Very useful, 111 readings)
Rating:

I was a huge fan of Dr Seuss when I was little yet as my two year old has very short concentration span I didn t think he was old enough to read the stories I remember from been little however I was delighted to find this Amazing Animals Book by Dr Seuss so immediately bought it. The book itself is a card book with lift up flaps. It is a glossy card which makes it wipe able and pretty sturdy although some of the flaps my son has bent but this doesn t interfere with the story. This is a very short book in the Style of Dr Seuss with bright coloured pages that have bright but simple illustrations. The language is simple but teaches the different concepts for example one ...

Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose - Dr Seuss

Premium Review A classic story of a Big Hearted Moose (394 words)

start chasing Thidwick that he remembers something very important and eventually escapes to join his family across the river. The story is written is the lovely rhyming text that Dr Seuss is so famous for and because of this is fairly easy to read. The rhyming makes the book more amusing even though the story is quite good fun by itself. When I first tried to read the book as an adult I had to keep thinking about the rhythm but after a couple of pages it does tend to come naturally and the rest of the book is much easier to read. I first tried to read the book to my daughter when she was about two but she was not interested and I think the book was perhaps too long ...

-Intro- A review of the Dr . Seuss book "The Cat in the Hat" prompted me to venture upstairs to the Moosery (aka the Spare Room) to my extensive moose book collection to find the best Dr. Seuss book of all time "Thidwick The Big-Hearted Moose". Imagine my joy, my absolute delight when I found that no-one had written a review on either Ciao or dooyoo, so I had no choice but to read the book and write a glowing review. Admittedly the review which follows was written following two bottles of wine... -Moose and moose books- Those who know me, and even those who don t will probably have an idea that I am somewhat obsessed with moose (and just to ...
