There are some books that you never want to end; there are some books that you read quickly, because you are enjoying them so much. Then there's The Quickie. True, I wanted to finish it quickly, but only so I could get it over with and move onto something better. The Quickie is aptly named: a sordid, worthless, dull experience; it appears that James Patterson conceived and wrote the whole thing in about five minutes whilst he was waiting for his tea to cook.
