Advantages: Easy to read, amazing story line

Disadvantages: a bit too short

i am not a huge reader but my sister recommended this book, so i though id give it a go. It is unputdownable. I loved it. The way the book is written is superb. The author manages to depict such a terrible and hostile world but wihtout giving too much away. The stroy is focused around "the boy" and "the man" (you never hear their actual names, which i found very interesting and different). The story follows their travels across a post apocolyptic America, in which the land has become baron and hostile. The story describes their quest to heard South to a form of sanctuary, in which the weather is warmer and there is a possibility of more survivors.
I enjoy the fact that you never find out why the world has affectivly ended (or whether it is just America that has been destroyed?) as it adds a bit of mistery to the book, and lets you think of your own possiblt explanations.
The book has been made into a film starring Vigo Mortinson (plays Aragon in the Lord of the Rings trilogy). It should be realsed within the next month in the UK, and i am looking forward to Hollywood's interpretation of this fantastic book.

Summary: Scary look into the future
