I read this book 3 months ago and it was excellent. It was about a serial killer in America who targetted young catholic females and mutilated them and his signature was to bolt their hands together and placed a rosary in their bolted hands. It was a very disturbing book but a page turner from start to finish, I read it in two days, I was hooked. I would reccomend this book to people interested in crimes, forensics and serial killers. From the first page to the very last it keeps the reader interested as there are twists and turns which I will not ruin for you here. Richard Montanari is a very talented author, and that is definitely proved in his book Rosary Girls. Philadelphia sees the most brutal killing spree as young catholic woman are found murdered, there bodies have been badly mutilated and there hands have been religiously bolted together, a rosary bead is left on every victim. The characters that we are introduced to in this story is detective Kevin Byrne and his partner Jessica Balzano, the characters are fair opposites but work together great providing a different out look of situations to unfold. What is it with Catholic School girls and serial killers? If there is one group that an author could write about that would stir more images of virginity, repressed feelings and strict rule, I can not think of one. I must assume that the idea of writing a fiction book about someone targeting this group is not particularly original, but this has not stopped Richard Montanari from having a go. Can Montanari bring anything new to the serial killer thriller genre or will he fade in to literacy history?
