Oh my goodness. I'm not sure I've ever laughed so hard at any other book, even through some of the more, er, descriptive bits. Just from reading the pregnancy quiz at the front of the book (I particularly love the multiple choice answers for 'what is inducement?'), you can tell that this will be an interesting, informative and hilarious read. If you are pregnant or want more information on pregnancy, then this is one of the best books that I have read on the subject (and believe me, I have been like a woman possessed over the last few months). This book was a godsend. It was the first book I purchased on a recomendation from a friend. The book follows a diary style dealing with the pregnancy week by week. It is exremly interesting and informative light hearted book going through all of the changes that your body will go through but still giving you all the information that you need to have a healthy pregnancy. I loved the way the book is so clear cut with regards to how things progress and it doesnt focus on all the what if this happens, it does give you the information on the what ifs like pre eclampsia etc, but it takes the time to point out that these conditions are rare whilst ... The Rough Guide to Pregnancy and Birth has kept me entertained throughout my pregnancy. With only a few weeks to go I have now finished it (a bit scared it might happen early and I wanted to be all read up) but until then I managed to restrict myself to only reading one chapter a week. It was my Saturday morning treat to sit down and read the chapter relating to the week ahead. OUTLINE The book is set out in 42 chapters, each representing one week of pregnancy.
