The Shack - a tale of tragedy, grief and redemption. (The Shack - William P. Young)
Member Name: trinasnow1
Advantages: Raises interesting questions regarding religion Disadvantages: Heavy handed plot devises
The shack is in essence Christian doctrine dressed up in the form of one mans tragedy and his subsequent grief and redemption. I found the novel to be interesting and the religious aspect did not swamp the storyline too much and it did raise a few theological discussions regarding the role of religion and God in modern day society. I would recommend the novel to others for that reason alone. Summary: Quick review |
