I first read this when I was fourteen. I found it in the school library one day and fell in love with it soon after. This is an exceptional book, especially as it is Annette Curtis-Klause's debut novel. You may remember her more famous book, 'Blood and Chocolate', being turned into a film a few years ago. While both book and film are very good, I would confidently say that 'The Silver Kiss' is superior. This is a young adult novel, although I would direct to older teens as it does deal with some rather adult issues.
