Much like “dotchristine”, I too stumbled upon this author by accident. The first book of his I bought was Total Power. Quite simply, I could not put it down. When I finished it I went straight out and get another of his books, then another, then another. His writing keeps you on the very edge of your seat, you cannot wait to turn the next page. He writes with such understanding and detail that you think he must have had experience of all the characters he writes about – but that would be impossible, wouldn’t it? I stumbled upon David Baldacci's first book, Absolute Power, in an airport bookshop a couple of years ago and spent my first 2 days of holiday with my nose buried in it, I couldn't put it down till I'd reached the last page.
