The Skinner. WELCOME TO SPATTERJAY ... WHERE SUDDEN DEATH IS THE NORMAL WAY OF LIFE. Spatterjay, where the seas teem with hungry monstrosities, but Spatterjay holds immortality. When its giant leeches bite out gobs of flesh, they transmit a virus that forces regrowth, hence preserving the leech food supply. The book starts with Keech, Janer, and Erin arriving on Splatterjay, where the flora and fauna make this an altogether unusual and violent planet.
