Although i wasn't a student at the time, i probably had about as much money as one. I needed to learn some interesting recipies for someone on a fairly low budget, but were realistic at the same time. Good simple food. Cooking has never been a problem for me, it's something i can do and have done it several times as a job. I just needed some inspiration. This is a fantastic book and well worth the money. The only thing that very slightly lets this book down, is the fact it has no pictures, but thats really not a problem. When leaving for university, unlike most other Freshers, the thought of leaving home did not scare me in the slightest; I can cook, clean, do laundry, organise myself and have no fear of meeting new people at all, so naturally I was extremely excited to be starting University up north in bonny Scotland. Although I know how to cook and feed myself, naturally I wanted a bit of variety at uni and so decided to invest in a few student cookbooks.
