In the faded squares of shabby houses, in the furtive alleys and darkened pubs, the word is out that the Tiger is back in town, more vicious and cunning than ever. It falls to Albert Campion to pit his wits against the killer and hunt him down through the city's November smog before it is too late.

The characters I have to admit that Campion is not one of my favourite fictional detectives. As a character, there is nothing outstanding about him. He is a bit of an upper class twit, reminiscent of Dorothy Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey. He is very mild-mannered, inobtrusive and of course deeply intelligent, far more intelligent than...more

Gripping first half Second half drags on for too long

A cracking good thriller . Well researched, and keeps you guessing . Forsyth's political leanings show through somewhat in his writing .

It is bound to become very cheap to buy soon! It has ruined the concept of Dexter and what he is!

Exciting adventure, easy read, outstanding writing from James Patterson. As a series fan, it doesn't quite hold up to my expectations; a longer more complex book would have.

Will help you forget about reality and switch off You will not be able to put it down and will not get anything else done :)

Entertaining and light Some holes in the plot
