Advantages: easy read, intricate plot

Disadvantages: moves around time so takes a little getting into

I had heard much about this book but not got round to reading it for a long time. Only recently wth the film hype did I give it a go and it was definately worth a read. I couldn't put it down once I started.

At first it takes a little getting into as the plot is a little hard to follow but once you are used to the author's writing style it flows well and you get absorbed into the story.

Overall it took me a day to read and I cried at the end.

The plot revolves around the main character who has a genetic condition which makes him travel in time, backwards and forwards. It centres on his relationship and how his life evolves and develops, how he knows what will happen and how his wife lives her life dealing with his time travelling.

I have to admit I shed a tear or two at the ending but it was very well written and although almost like sci-fi in genre the actual feel of the book was not sci-fi it felt very normal and very easy to read.

I really would reccomend it. I don't know how it compares to the film as I haven't seen it but a very good book, an easy read.

Summary: well worth a read
