Disadvantages: It's heavy!

Wow - I love this book. It inspires, excites and occasionally humbles me! A journey through all of the 200 plus countries in the World will surely have the same affect on everyone. This book is my travel bible - I'd love to say that I'll visit every country in it before I get too old to lug my suitcase around Heathrow but this is a secret dream of mine. Oh well, 23 down, 180 to go.......

Each 2 page spread contains useful information detailing when to go, what to see, what to do and how to really get under the skin of the country. these are all the experiences that make an excellent travellng experience. To cap it off are numerous photographs from the country, all of which are striking, inviting or plain stunning.

Some countries excite me and make me want to visit for an action-packed trip. Others convince me that this is where I need to go for a relaxing break. However the ones that really interest me are the countries that we often class as 3rd world. Having recently visited a number of African countries, after reading the book, I can honestly say that the descriptions are spot on and I felt truly humbled with the friendliness of the people.

I am proud to own this book. It sits on my table and is a great talking point when people come round.
