In my review of Darren Shan and theTrials of Death I will not contain any spoilers of the book but I may write a few hints in and I will write about the first book in the series as it is necessary for you to understand as to what is happening. For this reason I would suggest you not reading this review if you are going to read the first book and want everything which happens in Darren Shan: Cirque Du Freak to be a surprise I would recommend you not to read the rest of the review. Trials of Death is the fifth book in Darren Shan's the Saga of Darren Shan series. These books are written from a first person perspective and tell the fictional tale of the authors life as a member of the vampire community. Darren has learnt that unless he triumphs over five trials set to him by the vampire clan he will be sentenced to death as unworthy of being a full vampire. Darren has to decide whether to face his fate or escape to the safety of the circus where his nightmare began. However with the Vampeneze gathering force death may be a blessing.
