Advantages: Funny, Great writer, Great book
Disadvantages: Not much
Recently I have forgone trying to find some decent thriller books and have gone back to my roots, romantic comedy books. In the past year I have found a new author whose books I just absolutely adore, the most recent book of hers that I have read is called 'The Undomestic Goddess'.
Sophie Kinsella is the author of the pretty famous Shopaholic Series, and has written a lot of books under her pseudonym Sophie Kinsella or her real name Madeline Wickham.

The Plot
=====
Samantha Sweeting is a 29 year old who lives on her own, and works all the hours of the day at a famous law firm in hopes of one day becoming partner. She has an ever increasing workload, and finds herself even going in on her days off to get all of her work done.
When it looks like Samantha is getting her dream and is becoming partner, she realises that she's made a mistake, a 50 million dollar mistake, due to the fact she misplaced a very important document.
Samantha, realising that her life is now over, and that there is no chance in hell of becoming partner now, runs away and gets the first train she can. She finds herself in the middle of nowhere, and the first house she comes to, they mistake her for their new housekeeper. Samantha must live this lie, to keep her place in the house, she has to learn how to use the oven and what all of the utensils in the kitchen do. She's gone from high flying lawyer to a domesticated girl.

My Opinion
=======
I loved this book, other than the shopaholic series, I think this is the best book that Sophie Kinsella has written. I enjoyed Can You Keep A Secret and Remember Me? but I found that this one was a lot more developed and a lot more easy to read.
I think I managed to finish the book under about 2 hours, so it's a very easy book to get through and you won't be disappointed, I found myself laughing out loud during the book as Samantha begins to get introduced to new things.
Yes the book is a romantic comedy and there is a love story woven throughout all of the hilarity of the book, Samantha finds herself falling for the gardener, however not only is she lying to her employers she's also lying to her love interest.
You immediately warm to the character of Samantha, and I love the way that Kinsella writes the male characters within her books, you can really imagine them being very handsome, and she really is a fantastic dentist.
This book, like the rest of her books are complete no brainers, and that is what I really love about her books. It's lovely just to sit back and read a book which makes you laugh and is a lovely romance story at the same time.

Final Opinion
=========
It's a fantastic book, but like most books at the moment on sites like play.com you are paying about £5 or something like that. So if you want to get this book then the best place to look is EBay or your local library. It really is a fantastic and funny book and you don't need to use too many brain cells to read it.
