      Very helpful

Winemaking never seemed so romantic or so dangerous

Three generations of Giambelli woman are about to find love and death as the family wine making business merges with their neighbours, the MacMillan's. Tereza, the matriarch, married for business (to a MacMillan) but has slowly fallen in love. Her daughter Pilar is about to divorce her husband after been trapped in a loveless marriage for too many years. Sophia, has seen how love can destroy is reluctant to get involve but finds herself attracted to the younger MacMillan, Tyler, as the merger forces them to work together.

Sophia, the company's PR executive, also has to deal with a difficult staff member who resents her position and her father's new young bride. When her father is found murdered and threats are made towards the family, she needs all her PR skills and family support she can find. Tyler is a delightful distraction from her troubles as their relationship develops.

Pilar, is drawn into the family business by the David Cuttler, the new CO, and finds a confidence she never knew she had. She is also attracted to David and his two children.

But who is trying to destroy the Giambelli-MacMillan merger and is prepared to kill anyone who gets in their way?

      My opinion:

This not one of my favourite Nora Roberts books, but I still find it very enjoyable and the characters are very well drawn. The romance between Sophia, the hot headed Italian and Tyler the laid back wine maker is meant to be the main focus of the book, but I am drawn more to the Pilar-David relationship. Pilar transforms from a passive, defeated woman into a strong confident woman, during the novel once she frees herself from her first husband and wins the love of David.

The murder/thriller aspect is well-written with an excellent twist at the end. If you looking for an easy to read romance book, with a little bit of mystery and suspense, you can't go wrong with this one.
