The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks is the sequel to his book The Notebook. For those that have watched the film but not read the book you would assume that Noah is dead, however, he isn't. The story follows Allie and Noah's son-in-law Wilson Lewis, a hard-working man who provides well for his family but has grown apart from his wife Jane. With their daughter's wedding coming up and their thirtieth wedding anniversary happening on the same day he decided to confront his issues with expressing emotion. With his in-laws fifty-year love affair as a guide and with Noah's guidance Wilson tries to get back into the heart of the woman he loves. This book is a delightful ... Read the complete review

This book was an absolute must read for me, it is the follow on from the Notebook which I found so emotional and gripping. Don't get me wrong you don't have to have read the Notebook to understand this book but it is a follow on with the characters. In this book we still have Noah who is still living in his nursing home and the story is about his son-in-law Wilson who is married to Jane. I am currently going through my Nicholas Sparks books and choosing a few to review, I knew I had to review this one. The Wedding, is another book by the wonderful Nicholas Sparks, but what quite a few people don't know is it's actually a sequel to the brilliant The Notebook. If you've only watched the film, I would recommend reading the book of The Notebook first, as it is quite different to the film, especially the ending. This book follows on from there and you get another brilliant sweet love story. Nicholas Sparks is a well known American author who writes romantic fiction, he is constantly the best seller in the New York Times list, and the ... Read the complete review
