The Welsh Girl is the debut novel of Welsh-Chinese author Peter Ho Davies. It was longlisted for the MAN Booker Prize in 2007 and was picked up by Richard & Judy's Book Club in 2008. Having read good reviews of it in the newspapers last year I picked it up in Waterstones as part of their 3 for 2 instructions (I know I don't HAVE to buy three books every time I go in there, I just can't say no). Because I buy so many books it does take me a while to get round to reading them, so I am doing quite well to have read this so soon after purchase!
