The world of karl pilkington by karl pilkington, stephen merchant and ricky gervais. If you are new to karl pilkington here is a quick recap of how he came to fame. Karl first came to my attention when he worked on ricky and steve's saurday radio show on xfm. He was only really there as a producer and to work the buttons, but when they did let him speak pure comedy gold came out and ricky and steve knew this was to good an opportunity to miss. The radio show ran from 2001 - 2005. After that came the podcasts which has become the most download thing ever i think. So far they have done 5 series's of the award winning podcast and racked up over 30 episodes. This book is basically a transcript of the podcasts along with some really great drawings. Karl is a very unique person and has some very strange and weird theory's and thoughts and this book is a great insight to man some have labeled idiot/genuis. Highlights in this book include karl's diary, where we get excerts from karl's day to day life. Then there's the famous monkey news where karl tells storys ( which are meant to be true ) about things that monkey's have done either in modern days or way back when. I really like this book and i am a big fan of karl's work and always will be. If you have never heard of the k-man or your not aware of the ricky gervais show podcasts then this may not be the book for you.
