'The World's Worst Atrocities' is part of the 'The Worlds Greatest...' book series, although the authors evidently decided that 'The World's Greatest Atrocities' didn't strike the right tone somehow. The book takes a reasonably detailed look at 23 atrocities throughout the course of human history across the globe, all of which are ordered chronologically and hand-picked by the author. They include Ghengis Khan's brutal conquest of Asia and much of Eastern Europe and the Middle East, the murderous tyranny of the Spanish Inquisition and the Reign of Terror following the French revolution, as well as the extermination of native peoples illustrated here by the ...
