Overly neurotic or just very well prepared, there are those amongst us that like/enjoy/are psychologically compelled to prepare for any and all eventualities. And so for all the people who have ever wondered what they would actually do in the unlikely event of the dead walking the earth we have The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. The 'guide' is very well written in that it all strikes as being highly plausible and well researched, which gives it an air of believability. This book is absolutely hysterical - i loved it. The premise is that the author is living in New York but ready to move out immediatley if the world is taken over by zombies. The guide talks you through exactly what would happen if zombies took over your area and what you should do - everything from a session on how zombies happen and the viruses that causes them, how quickly they become harmful, how to barracaide your house, what food and supplied to stock up on and what to do if you need to get out of the city (including the best way!). The Zombie Survival Guide is a handy little survival manual written by Max Brooks, who we are informed lives in New York City but is ready to move to a more remote and defensible location at a moment's notice. As the title would suggest, the book is a breakdown of the dos and donts of surviving the looming zombie apocalypse set to rage across the earth any time now.
