Advantages: Very Funny, Good story, New characters
Disadvantages: none
Pratchett does it again with this materpeice of fiction The Auditors are back and they want the world to end well just stop so that nothing continues and there is nothing in the world to be concerned about. They comission the unsuspecting Jeremy to build the ulitimate clock a clock that is totaly and truely acurate. The monks of history whos job it is to make sure history is where it should be sense a problem, it must not be allowed to happen as it will mean the end of the world time will just cease! But Time has a son and death sends Susan (his granddaughter) to search for him while he summons the other horsemen of the apocolipse to ride out with him at the end. Trouble is famine and pestilence arent really interested and Wars wife wont let him! But there once were five! But the other horseman left before they became famous. He was around from the start he know all and has seen all, and he knows how to make a good strawberry yoghurt! His Name is Ronnie! Lu Tzse and Lobsung from the history monks set out to find the clock also aided by the gadgets supplied by Qu! But there is something strange about young Lobsung, raised by the theives guild he has unique and unusual talents the highest monks have trained for years to perfect. Will the world end or will it be saved from the glass clock! or will everyone get totaly confused and run around like headless chickens! read it and find out! This book will have you hooked from the first page Pure pratchet genius includes some of his best known characters (death nanny ogg, susan and an Igor) ok thats the outline here is my opinion Definitly one of my favourites just couldnt put this one down the usual style of the discworld novel with its rolling storyline and no chapters is still a winning form. Death is as emotionaly unawre of things as ever Nanny Ogg makes a brief appearance these being some of my
favourite characters made me enjoy the book even more and the complex plot keeps you wondering till the end just who is who (or what) One of The best Discworld books I would definatly recommend this one to anybody wether an old fan or a first timer!

- 11/05/02 Umm yes the personal opinion thing from me too - it is what makes DooYoo reviews so interesting and useful over the professional ones! |

- 11/05/02 I am a big fan of Pratchett too. You will get higher ratings if you correct any spelling mistakes before putting your review up and remember to tell us what *you* thought to it :-) |
