more than one of us mere mortals. What made this book special was that rare combination of wit, great writing and entertaining characters as well as a great story. D Darynda Jones is a very entertaining and funny writer, from the moment I started reading I just couldn t put the book down. Usually I am quite a slow reader but I finished First Grave on the Right over a weekend, when I really should have been doing a million other things. It s getting rarer and rarer that I have time to read these days so when I found myself reading while stirring the dinner, reading while walking to the cupboard to feed the dogs I knew that this just wasn t another ok read.
